Our Story

Inspired by the longing for the traditional, Polish, homemade taste of dill pickles... Tymek's Natural Foods was born.
It all began in a small factory, almost 30 years ago, in the heart of Toronto, with the intention of sharing our products with the Polish community. Over the years however, our variety of offered traditional home-made goods grew, as did our clientele. Now, we are not only known for our delicious natural dill pickles, but amazing sauerkraut, pickled cabbage heads, horseradish, kvas and beets with horseradish… just to name a few.

At Tymek's, we uphold our obligation to offer our customers highest quality, home-made, healthy foods.

Since day one, we proudly support our local Ontario farmers, using only locally grown produce to ensure the quality of our products. We do not add any preservatives or artificial ingredients, our products do not undergo pasteurization. As a result, all Tymek’s goods provide a very rich source of probiotics and Vitamin C.
Our unique and authentic foods are available to you right here in the GTA, or through one of our many clients across Ontario. We also supply many restaurants, so the next time you’re enjoying your burger… it may be with one of Tymek’s pickles!

Our dill pickles and horseradish have been recognized and awarded multiple times and awarded by National Post in both, the best product and best quality category.

Come visit our factory store and try some of our delicious, healthy foods at 9 Advance Rd. M8Z 2S6 in Toronto.

We are open to the public and vendors:
Monday-Friday: 8am-6pm
Saturday: 8am-2 pm
Sunday: CLOSED
These are small cucumbers, which are very desirable and hard to obtain in the world of artisanal pickles. They’re good! [Tymek's] is the right pickle for a charcuterie platter — with a little pate, say, or duck confit. Anything fancy.

Wow — zing! — these pickles are really waking me up, there’s a definite fizz on the tongue[...] a single pickle is really something to savour. Any bigger and they might be too much, which shows that these people have really thought about their product.

[Tymek's] is a full sour pickle — they remind me of the ones you get at Schwartz’s in Montreal. They have a good appearance, very compact and warty. This is a pickle that you munch out of the jar.
